The Kardashian Family Raked in $65 Million in 2010!
The Kardashian Family
This is kind of mind boggling. Before “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” debuted on E! in 2007, the family name was best associated with Kim’s sex tape, and OJ Simpson’s defense lawyer Robert Kardashian, (Kris’ late husband) who defended the ex-football star in his murder trial.
But now the Kardashian family (Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Robert, Kendall, Kylie and Olympian Bruce Jenner) have grossed a collective $65 million in 2010 between their reality shows, endorsements, product lines, public appearance fees etc., an insider confirms to The Hollywood Reporter.
To put that in perspective and showing that it is truly hard keeping up with the Kardashian’s these days, that’s more than Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock and Tom Cruise made combined. The sisters have built up their blogs and brand through Twitter, and their television empire has expanded to three — and soon four TV shows, with “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” currently running and Khloe’s show with husband, NBA star Lamar Odom, set to premiere soon.
Matriarch Kris Jenner a former airline stewardess with no formal college education tells THR: “….My job was trying to take my kids’ 15 minutes and turn it into 30. Not only do we not have filters running through our brains, we don’t edit ourselves…The scene where [Kourtney's boyfriend] Scott [Disick] is shoving money down the waiter’s throat, that was hard to watch. But I said: ‘Leave it alone. Just show it. It’ll be fine.’ I’ve said that every single time. And it’s served me well from a business point of view. My fantasy is to have Keeping Up With Kardashians, Season 26…Who knew it would be this profitable? I should have had more kids.”
