She's become a household name thanks to her hit TV show, and Sofia Vergara was looking absolutely stunning at Nickelodeon's 24th Annual Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles, California on Saturday (April 2).
The "Modern Family" actress drew plenty of looks as she worked the audience at Galen Center venue while readying for stage duties as a presenter.

Sure to be an electrifying evening, the annual event honoring the youth's favorite stars includes performances by the Black Eyed Peas, Willow Smith and Big Time Rush.

Meanwhile, the Kids' Choice Awards are being hosted by Jack Black while airing live on Nickelodeon beginning at 8PM ET.

Reporting for another day of duty, Sofia Vergara was spotted on the set of “Modern Family” in Los Angeles yesterday (March 8).

The Colombian cutie donned a sexy, low cut blue dress as she emerged from her trailer to film a few scenes.

Later on, Sofia teamed up with Ty Burrell for a couple of takes in an open air mall, pushing a stroller and laughing all the way.

In career news, Ms. Vergara has just been named the spokeswoman for Comcast’s launch of Xfinity TV in Spanish. She told press, "I'm very excited. I think it's great that they're carrying all this programming. And I can relate it to the Spanish-speaking community."

Stepping out for some dinner, Sofia Vergara was spotted at Luques Restaurant in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon (March 3).

The “Modern Family” babe looked lovely as she made her exit along with a gal pal, sporting a leggy black dress and a big smile.

In her new gig “New Year’s Eve,” Sofia got to work alongside rock and roll stud Jon Bon Jovi, and it sounds like she enjoyed herself.

Vergara gushed, "He was so nice too. Handsome and nice. What could be more perfect? He just doesn't age. I kept asking him, ‘Tell me what you put on your face, you look fantastic.'"

Did Sofia Vergara & Katherine Heigl get into a bitch-fight?

These are photos from earlier this month, on the New York set of New Year’s Eve, the follow-up to Valentine’s Day. It’s an ensemble romantic comedy, and Sofia Vergara and Katherine Heigl both have parts in it (Heigl got the part meant for Halle Berry). Sofia and Katherine were put together as friends or coworkers within the film, and I believe they’ve already shot most of their scenes.

Which brings me to one of the funnier tabloid stories this week - according to Star Magazine‘s insider, “Katherine’s always complaining about having to stand outside in the cold for long periods of time, and Sofia can’t stand her whining. Finally, Sofia told her to be grateful that she has the role in the first place.” Ha! After Sofia told Dame Heigl to STFU, the insider claims that Dame Heigl and Sofia just started ignoring each other.

Now, it just feels like this is true, right? It reinforces what we know of the two women - Sofia is easy-going and happy to have found a niche in Hollywood, and Dame Heigl is an ungrateful snot who bitches and moans about every little thing. Unfortunately, Gossip Cop is raining on my bitch-fight parade:

    “The New York set of New Year’s Eve is getting icy – and not because of the frigid winter temperatures,” begins a piece in Star magazine.

    The tab claims co-stars Sofia Vergara and Katherine Heigl are “ignoring each other on set.”

    The reason?

    A Star “insider” says, “Katherine’s always complaining about having to stand outside in the cold for long periods of time, and Sofia Vergara can’t stand her whining… Finally, Sofia Vergara told her to be grateful that she has the role in the first place. That clearly didn’t go over well.”
    Unfortunately, Star’s dish is even colder than the temperature on the film’s New York set.

    A source close to Vergara assures Gossip Cop the feud is “not true.” And a production source notes Vergara and Heigl worked together only ONE day – and that was two weeks ago.

    We’re also told the two women got along great.

So, who to believe? Star Magazine’s insider with his delicious story of Dame Heigl living up to her a–hole hype, or Gossip Cop’s source who claims that the whole thing is false? I tend to believe that Sofia Vergara and Dame Heigl probably didn’t get along all that well, but that both of them managed to be professional throughout their one day of filming.

Sofia Vergara is Shape‘s covergirl this month and she shares some info-bites on body and beauty:

Sofia Vergara on lipstick: “If I walk outside without lipstick, I feel naked.”

On her favorite body part: “I’m sure men would tell you it’s my boobs, but I like my eyes. They have a natural cat’s-eye shape, so I try to play that up.”

Training with Gunnar Peterson: “Oh, I hate it! But I also know that at my age — I’m almost 40! — I have to do it to maintain my figure. When I can, I try to do Latin dancing for exercise because it’s so much fun and I just love the music. Two hours before I go [to the gym], I’m already wishing it was over. I psychologically fool myself into believing it’s part of my job.”

On aging and weight: “I think when women reach a certain age, they look better with a little fat in their face… I’m lucky I’m Latin because people expect me to be a bit more plump.”

Known for her curvaceously magnificent figure, Sofia Vergara fittingly was selected as cover girl for the March 2011 issue of Shape magazine.

The Colombian beauty is featured clad in a tempting turquoise Boulee dress on the front page, while chatting with the magazine about topics such as her workout regimen to making it through the trialing times following boyfriend Nick Loeb's car wreck.

As for her fitness ambitions, Miss Sofia Vergara dished, “Oh, I hate it! But I also know that at my age - I’m almost 40! - I have to do it to maintain my figure. When I can, I try to do Latin dancing for exercise because it’s so much fun and I just love the music. Two hours before I go [to the gym], I’m already wishing it was over. I psychologically fool myself into believing it’s part of my job. And then, of course, once I’m done, I’m really glad I did it because I feel so good.”

Explaining how she managed to cope with the stress from Nick's accident, the 38-year-old revealed, "It was hard for us because it happened in the middle of the most fun, sexy time. And then he was in the hospital, and you know men, they become such little babies! But throughout the whole ordeal, Nick never once got depressed, in fact, quite the opposite. “He kept his sense of humor despite the situation."


She added, "I don’t know if I could have stuck it out with him if he hadn’t been able to laugh at himself and be happy even under the worst conditions. When you see people in difficult times, that’s when their true nature comes out.”

Toasting the best films to grace the big screen through the duration of 2010, the stars gathered together for the 63rd Annual Directors Guild Of America Awards in Hollywood, California on Saturday night (January 29).

Dressed in their finest garb, big names such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Natalie Portman, Sofia Vergara and Amy Adams showed at the Grand Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland while settling in at their designated tables for the evening's proceedings.

Also in attendance for the annual Tinseltown fete were "The Social Network" star Andrew Garfield, as well as Kevin Spacey, James Cameron, Harvey Weinstein, Clint Eastwood and Colin Firth.


As for the ladies, Claire Danes, Julia Stiles, Jenna Fischer, Helena Bonham Carter, Jennifer Lawrence, Helen Mirren and Melissa Leo all added their very own touch of beauty to the swanky red carpet affair.

The beautiful brunette was honored at last night’s Elle Magazine’s Women in Television dinner for her role as Gloria on ABC’s hit show “Modern Family.”

After accepting the honor, Sofia joked, "I never dreamed I was going to be able to be in the magazine. I mean, with these boobs I only belong in a strip bar or somewhere not very decent."


Later in the night she added, "I never thought I was going to be part of a show like that and to be able to be in this country and make money—a lot of money!—with this accent."

Kicking off her weekend a bit early, Sofia Vergara was spotted at the Elle Women in Television event in West Hollywood last night (January 27).

The “Modern Family” hottie was joined by her costars Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Ariel Winter as she hammed it up at the SoHo House.

As previously reported, Sofia is also teaming up with Kmart to bring some pizzazz to their women’s apparel line.


She explained, "We're trying to fill a hole in the store. They wanted to appeal to a younger woman with something a little spicy. The times are changing."

"You have to realize that it's me wearing it. You've just seen it on me. All the pieces are very wearable. And we have them in all sizes."

Sofia Vergara the new Italian cheek in the Hollywood has blasted Madonna for going under knife and doing the plastic surgery in a recent interview to the Esquire Magazine.
Sofia said,

“At one point, Sofia says, she considered breast reduction. Luckily for men’s magazine readers and ABC executives, her mom talked her out of it, saying, “God is going to punish you if you cut them.”
“Someday she may tweak her eyes a bit, but she’s sworn off major surgical overhauls. L. A. is crazy. The women all look the same now. That thing with the cheeks. Like Madonna. Who do they think they’re fooling? It doesn’t make them look young. You end up looking like a freak.”
