Big Bang Theory Is Penny-Less!
Avid equestrian and Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco is on the injured list after a horseback riding accident this weekend. That means at least one Penny-less Big Bang Theory episode.
When actors say, "Break a leg," this isn't what they mean! Kaley Cuoco, who is an avid horseback rider and has her own stable of horses in the San Fernando Valley, took a spill this weekend and is still in an LA area hospital.
"She’s scheduled to make a full recovery," her rep promised. Cuoco won't, however, be back on her feet in time to shoot tonight's September 14 episode.
Kaley Cuoco: A Big break
The Big Bang Theory shoots in front of a live studio audience on Tuesdays and as they say, the show must go on. With Cuoco on medical leave, writers have been scrambling to write her character, Penny, out of the episode and, one would assume, also come up with an entertaining explanation for the character's injury.
Luckily, The Big Bang Theory already had a hiatus scheduled for next week, so Cuoco won't feel rushed back to work.
Nonetheless, being laid up won't be easy for Cuoco, who has been riding horses for about a decade and has even been known to compete.
The 24-year-old mixes ho-hum exercise with riding her horses several times a week and while that helps keep her abs, bootie and legs tight; Cuoco has told SheKnows that her time horseback riding is also her escape from the stressors of the real world, not to mention Hollywood.
SheKnows wishes Kaley Cuoco a speedy recovery. (Deanna Barnert)
