January Jones' Baby Bump Lunch Date

January Jones' Baby Bump Lunch Date

Fresh off of her big baby news, January Jones showed off her still-small baby bump while out in Hollywood, CA on Friday (April 29).

The pregnant "Mad Men" actress dropped off her ride to valet personnel as she met up with actress Jennifer Carpenter for a relaxing lunch at the Sunset Tower Hotel.

As previously reported by GossipCenter, Miss Jones' rep told People magazine on the baby-on-the-way on Thursday night, "January Jones is happy to announce that she is expecting her first child this fall."

Now speculation as to the father has become the subject of interest, as January split from boyfriend Jason Sudeikis early this year.

‘Ice-hot blonde’ January Jones got a makeover for the current issue of W Magazine – here she is with a short and edgy new hair do, lots of attitude and dressed in minimalist black leather outfits.
And a little quote from January:
‘After a while, I got immune to rejection. I didn’t care if they said I was too blonde, too pretty or not pretty enough.’

January Jones covers W: “It’s fun to imagine what life would be like as a diamond”

jj11

As you may know by now, I’m not a big fan of January Jones. I used to like her - I used to appreciate her work on Mad Men, and think that while she wasn’t the most gifted actress, she had her talents and she was an interesting person. As time goes on, however, I find myself hating her more and more. Her red carpet interviews reveal her as a very vapid, boring person, whether that is really her, or whether it’s simply a cultivated persona, I don’t know. As for her print interviews - well, her last one, in Marie Claire UK, was just ridiculous. She doesn’t just play catty, vapid, dumb, bitchy and snotty on Mad Men - that’s really who she is. Anyway, she’s the cover girl for the May issue of W Magazine, likely to promote her work as mutant Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class. You can read the full piece here, but here’s the full online Q&A:

Emma Frost, Jones’s character in X-Men: First Class, is much darker than her pure-white ensembles. Frost can read minds and transform into a diamond: a diabolical and alluring combination. “Emma Frost was not in the earlier X-Men movies, so I wanted to make her true to the way she is in the comic books. I’m one of the most powerful mutants,” Jones said, laughing. “It’s fun to imagine what life would be like as a diamond.”

Lynn Hirschberg: Despite the fact that you are perfectly cast as the chilly, gorgeous WASP-ish housewife Betty Draper on Mad Men, you originally auditioned for the part of ambitious plain-Jane Peggy, the lapsed Catholic career gal.
January Jones: There was no Betty in the pilot when I auditioned. Matthew Weiner, the creator of the show, had no intention of showing Don Draper’s home life. I read for Peggy two times—it was between me and Elisabeth Moss, who eventually got the part. At the end of the scene, there was a casual mention that Don was married. Matt went home that night and wrote two scenes that featured Betty. I auditioned a couple of days later, and he made me a verbal promise that the character would grow. I took the part on faith—there was no script or fleshed-out character or Betty plotline.

Do you like Betty? She’s superficial, strange, and often mean, and yet fascinating.
I don’t judge Betty or necessarily understand her. The audience is passionate about her. After season one they wanted her to speak out against Don and his infidelities. Then in season two, when she did, there was a huge reaction against Betty. They want her to talk—just not too much.

Like Betty, you started out as a model. You left South Dakota at 18 for New York City. Were you nervous?
Not really. I was excited to be independent, but I was also naive—I just wanted to be rich and famous [Laughs]. I lived in an apartment near the Empire State Building. There were a billion girls in New York City who wanted to be models. After a while I was immune to rejection, which helped when I went out to L.A. to become an actress. In modeling, the criteria is purely aesthetic. So when I got to L.A., I didn’t care if they said I was too small, too blonde, too pretty, or not pretty enough.

You often seem to be cast as a villain—Betty Draper has a scary mean streak, and in X-Men: First Class [out June 3], you play Emma Frost, aka Diamond Girl.
It’s a huge responsibility! [Laughs] And I’m a villain. As Emma Frost I’m telepathic, and I can turn into a diamond, which means I’m very, very cold. I always wear white: lots of iridescent stretch leather, lots of sparkle, and ass-kicking white boots.

You will get a zillion marriage proposals at Comic-Con.
Great! That’s perfect! Comic-Con is mostly male, and I don’t really have that audience. And I’m really like a guy in a lot of ways. My screen saver is a picture of me with Eli and Peyton Manning taken at the Kentucky Derby. The most starstruck I get is around football players. I like the Pittsburgh Steelers—I was going to be Troy Polamalu for Halloween.

The free-spirited, wild-haired Super Bowl champion?!
Yes, but I told too many people I was going to be Troy, so I ended up going as Yves Saint Laurent. I didn’t do nude Yves Saint Laurent, although I love that picture. Instead, I slicked back my hair and put on glasses. I wore a tux with a bow tie. Unfortunately, people don’t know Yves Saint Laurent, and they thought I was the guy in the Six Flags commercial.

A lot of people—men and women!—probably went as Betty Draper for Halloween.
Who knows? But because of the clothes, I understand. It’s strange, but when the season ends I miss wearing all Betty’s underpinnings. I love long-line bras and girdles. There’s a sexiness about girdles—on Mad Men I wear them four months out of the year, and I see my body changing. When you wear a girdle, you can’t bend in the usual way. Your thighs are cinched together, which makes your stride shorter. You automatically get a wiggle in your walk. It’s sexy.

When you’re out of costume, do you get recognized?
Yes. The paparazzi are lining my street, waiting for me to come out of the house. And I’m always doing the same thing: walking the dog. My poor dog is getting to know all the photographers. I say to him, “Why aren’t you barking?! These aren’t your friends.”

[From W Magazine]

I didn’t know that she auditioned for Peggy. Wow, I am SO glad that January didn’t get the Peggy part, that would have sucked so hard. I absolutely love Elisabeth Moss, and I love what she does with the Peggy character.

Also - I can’t believe that with all of this press about X-Men: First Class, we still don’t have any good Fassbender stories. What’s a girl gotta do to get a nice “And then Michael Fassbender came over and took off his pants” story?

January Jones Does Marie Claire and Talks About Jealous Bitchy Girls

January Jones Does Marie Claire and Talks About Jealous Bitchy Girls

We’ve already had Today’s Quote via Heidi Klum, but here’s a much spicier one coming from MadMen star January Jones:
On rumors she became a model to prove to “bitches” in high school she’s pretty:
“Where are you getting this shit? It sounds like something I might have said when I was, like, 15. The bitches in high school were bitches because I was pretty.”
… says January Jones in Marie Claire UK.

January Jones Makes The Cover Of Mary Claire May 2011 Issue

January Jones Makes The Cover Of Mary Claire May 2011 Issue

The beautiful January Jones made the Marie Claire May issue and dished on her unsupportive now-ex boyfriend Ashton Kutcher and how she’s had a hard time because of her looks.

Ashton Kutcher was the actress’s boyfriend for three years and has been widely rumoured to have told January that she would never make it as an actress. When asked about him, she winced and said:
“I don’t comment about that.”
“And I never commented about him.”
If the rumour is true, Ashton was quite wrong! When asked whether Mad Men made a visible impact on her bank account, January laughed and said:
‘Financially, we don’t get paid very much on the show and that’s well-documented. On the other hand, when you do television you have a steady pay cheque each week, so that’s nice.’
In regards to the quote that has been circling the media of January supposedly attributing her modelling career to ‘showing all those bitches in high school who said I wasn’t pretty’, she completely denies it.
“Where are you getting this shit? It sounds like something I might have said when I was, like, 15. The bitches in high school were bitches because I was pretty.”
And if you think she’s unhappy? Not true in the least!
“Everybody writes that they think I’m so unhappy,” Jones said. “I’m in my own head. I’m doing things. Keeping things interesting.”

January Jones is now a big star thanks to her hit show Mad Men, but the actress says she's not really too into the Hollywood lifestyle -- she's pretty happy watching sports and drinking beer while not at work.

She said: "This time of year I sleep in, watch football. I like cricket and I like rugby. I like seeing teeth get knocked out! I'm not a huge Guinness girl – it's too filling. I like a Stella or a Peroni or something like that. Miller Lite. Nothing too fancy. You drink 'em pretty fast."

The 33-year-old star even said she misses watching her favorite games when she travels to places where they're not televised as much. She said: "I remember when I was in London last year it was pretty tough to see football."

January also confessed to a habit of chewing tobacco – but insists she tries to do it in as ladylike a manner as possible. Explaining where she would spit it out, she said: "Not a bucket! A bottle or a cup or something. I tried to be a little discreet. I'm not a total hick."

The blonde star seems unbothered about having a glamorous Hollywood existence, also revealing she likes doing normal things when she's not working. She said: "I'm very good at being off. You know, running errands, having lunch with friends, taking my dog to the park."

Early mornings weren't a problem for Liam Neeson on the set of his latest movie Unknown. Why? His co-stars were so easy on the eyes.

The 58-year-old actor -- whose wife Natasha Richardson died in a skiing accident in Canada in March 2009 -- revealed starring with Diane Kruger, 34, and January Jones, 33, made the tough filming conditions a little easier to bear.

When asked how he found working with the pair, Liam told British website AskMen: “It’s very easy on the eyes to see them first thing when you get to the set at 6 am, if I may say so.”

Liam recently revealed his grief at the death of Natasha -- with whom he has two sons Michael and Daniel -- affects him most in "the middle of the night."

He said: "It's easy enough to plan jobs, to plan a lot of works. That's effective. But that's the weird thing about grief. You can't prepare for it. You think you're gonna cry and get it over with. You make those plans, but they never work.

"It hits you in the middle of the night -- well, it hits me in the middle of the night. I'm out walking. I'm feeling quite content, and it's like suddenly, boom. It's like you've just done that in your chest."

Extra correspondent Jerry Penacoli sat down with the lovely January Jones, currently starring in the action thriller Unknown -- and talked about dating in the spotlight. "I think it's tough to date in general," the actress, who recently split with SNL's Jason Sudekis, explained. "But maybe it's hard because I live such a transient lifestyle. Never in one place for too long. Plus, I can't commit... all over the place. It's me." She quipped, "I'm like Queen Elizabeth I; I'm going to marry myself.

The Mad Men star plays another ice queen in Unknown, as Liam Neeson's supposed wife who turns on him, but the actress says she'd love to do a comedy someday. "When someone writes one that's funny, I'll do it." Jones is excited about her upcoming role in, playing mutant Emma Frost. "Now THAT'S a comedy," she laughed. How so? "Interesting outfits. It was really fun, though. I've never done anything like it before. All the stunts and costumes -- and such a cool group of actors." Unknown crashes into theaters this Friday. X-Men: First Class mutates in theaters June 3.

Jason Sudeikis and January Jones: It's Over!

Jason Sudeikis and January Jones: It's Over!

Terrible news today for Jason Sudeikis: He's no longer going home to THIS.

The Saturday Night Live star and January Jones have split, sources confirm, ending a six month fling. Insiders tell Us Weekly that Sudeikis was actually the one getting flak for the relationship from pals:

"His friends don't understand why he's dating her. They call her an airhead behind his back. She doesn't get their jokes. They've only known him to date smart, funny women."

Jason Sudeikis and January Jones

Well, we all make an exception sometimes. Jones may not have a great sense of humor, but look at her. Sudeikis likely got the last laugh among his buddies.

January Jones: Jason Sudeikis Will Never See Me Naked

Huffingtonpost :    January Jones and Jason Sudeikis have been stepping out together for weeks and attended the Emmys together, but she claims he still hasn't gotten her clothes off.

"He's never seen me naked, nor will he after those comments," January told People at the Emmys. She was referring to comments Jason made last week on 'Lopez Tonight' (scroll down to watch).

Jason confirmed they were dating, and when asked whether he had seen her "naked and everything," Jason first said, "I don't want to get into it." Then: "I'm kidding. I do want to get into it! I do, and I have!"

January and Jason were snapped together at a pre-Emmys party on Saturday. Here they are at the Emmys on Sunday, where they sat next to each other in the front row.

January Jones Joins 'X-Men: First Class' Cast

This will be a change from being a 50's housewife! 'Mad Men' star January Jones has been cast in the 'X-Men: First Class' movie as Emma Frost/the White Queen. Here's how Entertainment Weekly describes the character:
...the mercilessly hot WASP telepath with a preference for skin-baring outfits. (She also occasionally turns into a diamond form, so yes, she would be a high-maintenance girlfriend.) The character was originally a supervillain but later became an endearingly amoral superhero: it’s not clear which way she’s leaning in First Class...
Sounds like quite a character!

January Jones: ‘I wish more women would realise that (curves) is what men like’

January Jones: I wish more women would realise that (curves) is what men like’ | celebrity quotes

Even though she isn’t as voluptuous as her boobylicious colleague Christina Hendricks, Mad Men’s January Jones is an advocate for curvy women, especially since the producers of the show encourage sustainable ‘meat and curves’ on their actresses’ bodies – more info via Daily Mail:
January Jones, who plays long-suffering housewife Betty Draper in the Emmy award-winning TV drama, says its creator Matthew Weiner agrees – telling female members of the cast to avoid strenuous exercise in order to maintain their curves and avoid muscle definition.
The 32-year-old actress says Weiner, anxious to echo the curvier silhouette of the show’s early Sixties era, is as demanding as any magazine editor or fashion designer  – but with a difference.
‘He would prefer we didn’t work out and that we eat really well, so we look like healthy women,’ she says.
The actress, whose looks are often compared to Grace Kelly’s, says she is pleased the show has brought back the idea that ‘it’s OK to have curves and be a woman. I wish more women would realise that’s what men like’.
She admits to loving ‘beer and carbs’ and says she is now quite taken with her curves after producers admonished her last year for being too thin.
In an interview with Tatler, January also confesses that she has learned to love the girdle she wears to help her achieve her hourglass looks.
‘It gives you such a nice shape,’ she says.

imnotobsessed.com - Are you a 'Mad Men' fan? If so, then you recognize one of the stars of the show, January Jones. What do you think of the black lace top? I wouldn't think of it for summer wear, I guess because of the color, but lace is light. I like it!

January Jones is featured in a new new photo shoot for celebrity hairdresser Mark Townsend.

The Mad Men star, who was involved in an unusual hit-and-run accident last month, has traded in her flowing blonde locks for a short, red style. Says Townsend of the look:

“You always see January as this ’50s, sort of Grace Kelly character. I wanted to really show off the power of hair and makeup with a bit of a ’20s influence.”
