Getting an early start on the celebrations, Kate Gosselin enjoyed a pre-birthday outing in New York City on Friday night (March 18).

The TLC reality star mom was all smiles while clad in a little black dress as she was escorted to STK for a fun-filled birthday dinner, despite the fact that she actually turns 36-years-old on March 28th.

The Big Apple dinner excursion comes as Miss Gosselin is readying for the family's return to TV next month.

Following a recent hiatus, Kate and the brood can be seen on TLC beginning on Monday, April 4.

During the season premiere, viewers will see the famous mommy and her eight children in Australia, the kids' farthest trip from home yet.

Oh boy!! Single men everywhere better watch out because Kate Gosselin is looking for love.  Rob Shuter of PopEater told ABC News that a close friend disclosed Kate’s romantic plans.

“She thinks she is a fantastic catch. Not only does she think she has never looked better, Kate also now has a ton of money. As far as she’s concerned, there is nothing not to like. She’s beautiful, rich and thinks of herself as very easy to get along with.”

Very easy to get along with? Has she seen the first few seasons of ‘Jon and Kate Plus 8′? LOL! Actually, after the divorce there has been a noticeable different in Kate. The split most certainly softened her. Hopefully, the mom of 8 will be able to find love again.

In the past, Kate has said that she is looking for a “tough guy“. Wonder if she’s still sticking to that plan?

The story about  and Collin Gosselin being expelled from their private school just will NOT go away! First word came out that they were expelled. Then Kate Gosselin said they had not been expelled but had been voluntarily removed so they could receive counseling while being tutored.

Now “someone” claims Kate lied and the kids were expelled after becoming too aggressive. They reportedly injured an adult twice and were physically abusive towards their classmates.

“Both Jon and Kate were sent a letter from the head of school explaining that despite their best efforts, staff had reached a point at which they had to request the children enroll in another program,” a source close to the school told RadarOnline.com

“It’s clear Kate did not tell the truth.

“Both Alexis and Colin received three full weeks of intensive special treatment to focus their behavior,” revealed the source. ”While the teacher was able to achieve some success, it became apparent to the school that the pair needed intensive assistance to help them with their social, emotional and academic needs.

“The demand on the children’s classroom teachers — and the impact on other kids — was just too great.”

This source also claims that Jon Gosselin and his girlfriend have been taking Collin and Alexis to public playgrounds so they can meet other kids. Apparently public school isn’t an option because the paparazzi would have too much access to the kids.

Could this “source” be someone close to Jon? Regardless, this whole situation seems so sad. Obviously these kids are struggling. Hopefully they’re getting help. (imnotobsessed)

Going about her daily doings, Kate Gosselin braved the rain for an hour-long drive to the Whole Foods in Devon, Pennsylvania on Thursday (October 14).

Seemingly in quite high spirits, the yellow coat-clad TLC reality star mom made the trip worthwhile - as she loaded up with two cartfuls of purchases while being assisted out to her nearby car by a store staffer.

Meanwhile, Kate was once again busy on her blog yesterday, as she dished out an interesting list of the eight wildest things she's seen during her recent jogging sessions.
Kate writes:

"The top 8 craziest things I've seen while running (and my imagined Fairy tales of how they got there):
8. McDonald's burgers -- half eaten in their burger boxes. I imagine, after a few bites, guilt takes over and the calories are avoided by giving that fast food a hard toss to the side of the road! That'll fix 'em!

7. Gloves -- all sizes, shapes and types. I really cannot imagine how countless pairs of gloves are lined along the roads! Do the kids on the school bus play "Let's drive mom nuts and lose ANOTHER pair of gloves today??!"Kids, moms are on to you -- we ALL buy extra pairs from the minute the weather hints toward cold...

6. Dead snakes -- large ones, green ones, black ones, all flipped on their bellies. All scare me and make my adrenalin pump ... Especially those that are upright and staring at me ... (gulp!) before I realize they are, thankfully, already in the road-kill department! Whew!

5. A large bag of Planters whole peanuts. I'm talking a five-pound bag opened ... I can only assume for wild late afternoon or midnight snacking??! It was discarded by the edge of the road near a small thicket of trees. The squirrels in my area won't have to go far to store up for the harsh winter this year! Can't help but wonder if the local squirrels have appetites like my 8 "Squirrels?" The bulk bag of peanuts gave them away...

4. Litter -- lots of paper, trash, etc. Come on, America! Can we do no better to keep our America beautiful??? It's sad to run through the beautiful, quiet, relaxing countryside and see so much misplaced trash! I've always taught my kids not to "litter on God's beautiful creation!"

3. Alcohol bottles and cans and cigarette packages -- litter again, but this has a whole new imagined scenario... Were you drunk when you threw that? You could have crashed and killed my child! DON'T DRINK and DRIVE. I don't want to see the mess while I'm running, but I REALLY don't want see someone get hurt!

2. A large sports trophy ... tossed to the side of the road. It was so close to the edge that I nearly tripped on it. I imagined it was my trophy for having nearly completed my seven miles that day ... but when rationality took over, I assured myself it merely got away from the trash collectors!

1. Today's find tipped me over the edge: It made me laugh during my long tedious trip... It was a purple and white bath "poof"... Not sure what YOU call them, but in my house they are those fluffy things you scrub yourself squeaky clean in the shower with! Anyway, I imagined a 2 year old got a hold of the Wal-Mart bag and entertained himself by throwing the contents out the window! I guess we should be glad that it wasn't raining tampons instead!" If I knew that the paparazzi was always watching I'm not sure I would be venturing out of my house in a sports bra - but to each his own.

Kate Gosselin Wants To Try Her Hand At Acting

imnotobsessed - Performing in the opening Emmy skit with Jimmy Fallon and the gang has left an impression on Kate Gosselin. The reality mom admits that she'd like to give acting an honest try:

"Doing that little part in the skit was so amazing for me, being around so many wonderful actors," "I so want to give it a try! I think it is so fun to be somebody else, to get out of me and be somebody else."
 

"It was Jimmy Fallon's personal invitation to have me in it," she said. "I love him. I so love him. It was a lot of fun, the most fun thing I have done in so long."

I thought Kate was fantastic for making fun of her 'Dancing with the Stars' stint like that.

Kicking off her week with some pampering, Kate Gosselin was spotted hitting up a nail and tanning salon this morning (July 12).

The “Jon and Kate Plus 8” babe looked cute in a casual summer dress as she carried her coffee past the paparazzi.

Last night, Kate’s new show “Kate Plus 8” showed Gosselin and her eight kids gearing up to have their own chicken farm.

Kate explained, “I buy four, five, or more dozen eggs a week. That’s it, we’re getting chickens. The kids were willing to carry pieces [of the coop] and in no time all of those pieces were in the field. These are moments that make me very happy. The kids were suddenly very willing to participate … It was a family event — we’re putting together our chicken coop.” (Celebrity Gossip)

Kate Gosselin Goes Tanning In Reading

I guess this is one 'Dancing with the Stars' habit that Kate Gosselin can't break! Even with the 10% tax recently added, the reality star decided to hit up the tanning booths to work on her color a few days after the 4th of July.

I know a ton of people who are officially turned off from tanning due to the government increase. What do you think? Are you still tanning despite the tax? Or is 10% not really that big a deal? (imnotobsessed)

Kate Gosselin, Kids to Record Holiday Album?

We swear we're not making this up.

In what would likely rival Real Housewives star LuAnn de Lesseps for worst musical offering of the year, Kate Gosselin is looking to add singer to her resume!

The reality star is reportedly itching to deliver a Christmas album chock full of religious-y tunes - with her eight adorable kids on backing vocals no less.

"Kate is pitching a CD of holiday songs sung by herself and her kids," a record exec says. "She sees herself as a modern day Maria from The Sound of Music."

LOL. Wasn't Maria really nice, though?

Reality TV star twice over, View guest host, author, dancer, mother of eight and now singer? Where does she find the time ... to get that bad Botox?

Shockingly, Kate has yet to score a coveted record deal, but we wouldn't bet against her. As long as her singing's better than her dancing, that is.

Kate has written a book about her family called "Eight Little Faces."

Supposedly, she also has a cook book on the way, even though we never see her in the kitchen. Kate has been accused of infidelity, as rumors abound that she's porked the family's bodyguard.

That seems very possible, but she's now free to bang anyone she pleases. Jon and Kate got divorced in the summer of 2009 and she is now the sole star of the series. The title has been changed to Kate Plus 8.

A new man for Kate Gosselin ... may be pursued. Someday. There is no actual news here, despite what the splashy cover of the magazine below tries to imply.

Note how OK! shrewdly does not name said man, or state that Kate is even dating someone. Because she's not. Talk about misleading ... true, but misleading!

It’s been a year since she split with Jon, though, so time to start up the Kate Gosselin dating rumors, even if she says she's still healing and doesn't have time.

That doesn't sell magazines, though, so they give us vague reports about how the 35-year-old is "changing her controlling ways" and "ready for romance again."

We'll believe the former when we see it.

Only in theory, of course.

“Kate knows she can be a little controlling at times, and she’s working on that aspect of her character,” a source tells OK!. Right. Sure she is. Jon Gosselin is supposedly working on his wardrobe and penchant for lies and mediocre girls, too.

Yesterday, we reported how a new Kate Gosselin dating show may be in the works. Even that we can't really see, despite the fact that she's a ratings goldmine.

The magazine also says Kate's getting support from none other than Jon in her quest to move on. Another claim you could never refute with fact. Pure genius.
