It looks like Renee Zellweger is not sitting around depressed over her split from Bradley Cooper. She was spotted attending a party looking “smokin’ hot.”

“She wore a skin-tight black dress and amazing lace-up shoes,” an eyewitness tells UsMagazine.com. “She looked smokin’ hot.”
And people certainly noticed. “At one point, three waiters came up to see if the table needed anything because they wanted to check out Renee.”

Work it, Girl! Well, if it’s true that Renee found it “too hard” to make the relationship with Bradley work, then it makes sense that she’s ready to move on.

Us Weekly reports talking to a friend of Renee Zellweger, who recently split from boyfriend Bradley Cooper. So what happened?

“She tried to make it work, but in the end it was too hard,” a Zellweger insider tells Us. “Her friends feel bad it ended, but she’s okay.”

Hmmm… okay. It seems like Renee’s realization was sudden: at a party on February 26 the pair seemed happy, according to onlookers.

“When they were in the VIP section, they were cute with one another,” an eyewitness told UsMagazine.com. “Bradley seemed very attentive with her.”
Flanked by Cooper’s mother, Gloria, Zellweger, 41, “was seated comfortably and drinking green tea” as theLimitless star, 36, mingled with partygoers.

And in January Renee skipped the Golden Globes to be with Bradley and his family after his father died.
Well, sometimes things just don’t work out. It’s probably tougher on both of them that his happened just when Bradley had a new movie come out, which puts them more in the spotlight.

They had a great run, avoiding tabloid pages more than most Hollywood couples, but it's now over Bradley Cooper and Renee Zellweger. Multiple sources have confirmed their split.

The movie stars met in 2009 and moved in together last fall. No reason has been given for the split, but the pair actually made Star Magazine's cover this week, just a few days before the break-up went public.

Said Cooper in September: "I can't say enough about her. I just love her. I [loved] coming to work. I love acting with her. I can learn so much from her."

Speculation of a split first arose in February, though, when each attended a pre-Oscar party, but didn’t hang out as a couple at all.

Renee Zellweger became famous quite by accident. The actress started out in beer commercials in Texas before being launched into the spotlight and never dreamed that she'd be an A-lister down the road.

"I have never had those thoughts before," she said, while being inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame. "I moved to L.A. because I just ran out of things to do. If Austin Studios had been here at the time, I might not have gone anywhere."

The actress also addressed one of her first roles, a small part on Dazed and Confused. "I felt really lucky to be a glorified extra on [Dazed and Confused]," Zellweger said. "I learned so much about how a film set works and how it breaks down into different departments and what your responsibilities are as a performer when you are participating in a collaborative effort."

And, even Chainsaw Massacre did something for her: "[It] was the best five-week workout plan of my life," she said. "Nothing like a live chainsaw to motivate you to run faster."

Renee Zellweger: 2011 Texas Film Hall of Fame Awards

Enjoying her time in the Lone Star State, Renee Zellweger was spotted at the 2011 Texas Film Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony last night (March 10).

The “Bridget Jones” babe looked stunning in a strapless black dress as she worked the cameras outside Austin Studios in Austin, Texas.

Additionally, Renee has been named the new face of Tommy Hilfiger’s Breast Health International Spring 2011 initiative.

She explained, “Because of the experiences of close friends and family members who have had to endure and battle the challenges of breast cancer, I am a passionate supporter of breast health education and charitable causes.”

“I am honored and grateful to be partnering with Tommy Hilfiger to raise awareness and funds to support the invaluable work of Breast Health International.”

Did anyone else notice Renee Zellweger’s absence from the Golden Globes the other day? The word is that she skipped them because Bradley Cooper’s father died and she went to support his family in Pennsylvania. Charles Cooper was 71 and had been ill for a long time.

I think it’s great that Renee could be there for them at such a hard time for the Cooper family. This one couple we don’t see out in public too much, but it sounds like things are definitely getting serious between them behind the scenes.

Meanwhile, it sounds as if Miss Zellweger is up for a role in the just-underway shooting movie "The Hangover 2" - which will followup boufriend Bradley Cooper's hit comedy flick.
